Vibrational Alchemy by Gong the Planet
Date: July 16, Saturday 1pm

We began the special afternoon with the Meditation Soundscape being performed in the woods, nestled in Greenshire’s stone amphitheater. We heard and felt the planetary gongs, crystal and metal singing bowls, didgeridoo, flutes and other worldy instruments. Following the concert we enjoyed an informative introduction to the gong, how to play the instrument, and an overview of the benefits of integrating vibration into tour lives.
On March 26, 2011, the Garden Co-Op had its first workday. Everyone helped prepare the garden beds and planting of peas and onions. Prior to gardening, many of the co-op members also attended a Bio-Intensive workshop presented by Mark Fischer. They learned about garden bed location and preparation, selecting garden tools, seed selection, planting and composting.
It was an exciting day, enjoyed by all ages… and a very special way to foster community connections!
On the Spring Equinox, Sunday, March 20, 2011, Stephen Redding, the author of Something More and the recently published More Or Less, took Greenshire participants on a journey of their Earthly connection, helping them to allow More into their lives and to realize their importance in this world.
Stephen Redding greeted everyone with a new worldview of his perception of life, implying both intention and destiny. This unique perspective has been in large extracted from his multiple near-death experiences. Equally important to Stephen’s message is his unique regard and love of this, our world of existence: “…into which we have been gifted and from which we may bloom.”
An exciting day as Greenshire opened its doors to parents and children. A heart-felt discussion focused on a child-centered approach to education, and creating a family lifestyle that is based on trust and respect. Sandra Dodd, nationally-known 'unschooler', shared her experience, knowledge and passions about homeschooling, unschooling, self-directed learning, and how to create an environment in which children can learn and thrive. Sandra has written two books about unschooling.

Greenshire was transformed by the gift of Sound, as we experienced the healing vibrations of crystal singing bowls, Native American Flutes, and Tibetan Bowls. Valarie and Ian Haag from Rainbows of Healing Center, Langhorne, shared their innovative workshop: Sound Journeying through the Chakras.
After an overview of the Chakra System and Sound Healing, we journeyed through the 7 wheels of consciousness, and moved through the 7 Chakras from root to crown in a guided meditation. As we felt sound vibrations from various sources, we were able to experience these spinning 'wheels of light' and their very practical application to our lives.

Bucks County held its annual Peace Week, a county-wide movement to promote Peace locally, nationally and internationally.
During the week of April 22, Greenshire worked with Bucks County Peace Center and other organizations, spiritual centers and schools, and focused on a Youth Summit for Peace. Greenshire held events for youngsters and teens which included Rep. Paul Clymer speaking about how peace begins with each person, music, interactive events, an Peace Art exhibition, the construction of a peace mandala, and walking the wooded labyrinth trail.
On December 2, 2008 Greenshire welcomed the traditional and contemporary music and voices of Tony Redhouse, Navajo traditional consultant, multi-cultural percussionist and flutist, and Jackie Wolf Tice, Cherokee award-winning singer/songwriter, guitarist and peace-worker. The artists wove together a dynamic performance teeming with light-hearted humor, spoken word pieces, spiritual insights and creative interaction amid their original and traditional music.

On November 1–2 Greenshire participated in the Upper Bucks Artists Studio Tour, where local artists exhibited their work in their own studios and demonstrated their artistic skills.
Greenshire was privileged to host three artists: Sharon Mendelson, Melinda Rose and Aspiring Glass Works Artists.

Over 150 people attended the opening reception of Autumn Colors, Greenshire's fall art exhibition.
Fourth Tuesday is a special time at The Greenshire Arts Consortium. The launching for their monthly two-hour High Tea included a time for pleasantries, dynamic discussions, a keynote speaker—and friendly service from the butler-in-residence: Jim Curley, Director of Greenshire.
The first treat in store for the nine people in attendance was being greeted at the door by Jim who was spiffed up with tails and a huge smile—and who proceeded to take coats, pour tea and serve refreshments. The Focus Speaker, artist Lesta Bertoia, shared her inspirations and creativity. As an adolescent Lesta worked with her father, the internationally renowned sculptor, Harry Bertoia, which was introduction enough to inspire her to explore her own creativity. "I am drawn toward portraying the relationship of humans, cultures, nature and spirit. It is with love for life's many dimensions that I offer my art into the homes of those who resonate with my visions during these exceptional times."
Together, in supportive harmony, five women continue this seven-month course of self-exploration, seeing themselves in a refreshing way, discovering their authentic voice and speaking their truth. During their journey of conscious connections, they are beginning to sense their inner strengths as they experience the art of compassionate communication along with the wisdom of silence. This group was formed in September, created by individuals coming together to witness, accept, empower and honor, gathering in a space and time where they could learn to appreciate themselves and their journeying friends with heartfelt understanding.
