Art Exhibition, The Heart of Peace: May 2 - 25

The inspiration for this mixed-media exhibition comes from the understanding that humanity and our earth community share unique commonalities, with peace and love often being the thread that weaves together this genuine connection. Contact Greenshire for gallery hours.

 

Heart of Peace, Opening Reception: May 2, Friday evening, 6pm - 9pm

 

Peace Garden Dedication: May 2, 7:30 pm

As a living monument to its vision for a peaceful life and a peaceful world, Greenshire is building an artistically planned Peace Garden for the community to enjoy. this is a joint community project incorporating many people in various capacities. the site for the Peace Garden will be dedicated during the evening of the heart of Peace Opening Reception. Spiritual Community Gathering: April 18, May 23, June 13 (6:30pm—9pm)

If you are on a personal healing path and would like to gather in community with like-spirited individuals, this is a heart-centered group that will speak to you in a sensitive, nourishing way. You will be invited to share your personal stories and practices, as well as participate in planned activities for the body, mind, spirit and soul. If you are on the Reiki path, supporting attunements according to your level of experience will be given. All are welcome. Contact Greenshire if you are interested.

 

Aura Imaging: What Do You Really Look Like? May 9, Friday, 6pm - 9pm

Have your aura photographed. Auras give basic information about the qualities of energetic structure: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states of who you are. Receive Polaroid photo, information printout and verbal analysis. Healing sessions available. Enjoy a free presentation about auras, colors, what they mean and how to heal yourself with color. $30-$50 (depending upon options chosen). Vacation ARTS: Sponsored by the Katie Stauffer Memorial Arts and Cultural Center

For Youth, Grades 1-6: children will enjoy hiking and gathering natural supplies to incorporate into their artwork. The team of highly qualified artists and educators will provide a fun opportunity for children to express their creativity through nature-based crafts. Four weekly sessions, beginning July 14.

For Young Teens, Ages 12-14: "It's not easy being a teen!" Focusing on the passage from youth to adolescence, we celebrate this 'time in between' where young teens can appreciate aspects of their life through: creative expression, quiet reflection, mask-making, and the art of storytelling. One session: July 28-31.

Mediation, Conflict Resolution: Do you have a conflict in your life? Mediation is a fair and efficient process to help you resolve your disputes and reach a voluntary, negotiated agreement. Work with our Greenshire mediator who has 15+ yrs. experience helping parties to solve conflicts arising in the workplace, family and landlord/tenant situations. Contact Greenshire when you feel you are in need.
